School Break Fun!

Kicking Arts Motivational Movement Program (K.A.M.M.P.) improves participants’ lives and guides them as they develop as individuals. It is fun, but it is serious fun. Specifically, every minute of a K.A.M.M.P. day is filled with activities and lessons, which promote self-awareness, develop interpersonal communication skills, improve decision making and problem solving skills, facilitate creative and critical thinking, and further children’s ability to cope with stress and their own emotions.

Martial Arts is the perfect vehicle to deliver these desired outcomes and our days include plenty of martial arts practice (including more advanced material for current students, including weapons training). Even if your child has never participated in a martial arts class before, they will easily be able to follow along and glean the physical and mental benefits of martial arts training. All activities are designed to mentally and physically challenge participants — utilizing gross motor and fine motor skills — to foster healthy lifestyle choices, physical fitness, and mental acuity.

Every day, we play a host of team building games like hula hoop ring toss, balance jousting, and “silly side” dodge ball (where participants throw with their non dominant hands) and every day participants enjoy at least one engaging art project. 

Full day K.A.M.M.P. includes reading and board games after lunch, before returning to more active pursuits.

K.A.M.M.P. is a week-long event held multiple times in July and August. 

Mini-K.A.M.M.P. is a single day version of the longer K.A.M.M.P. experience and is held on holidays and school breaks.Check out our monthly calendar, to find our next scheduled K.A.M.M.P. or Mini-K.A.M.M.P.
